happy october! | a ghost cake

“Life starts all over again
when it gets crisp in the fall.”
-F. Scott Fitzgerald

happy october!

our second favorite month of the year is here! so nash and i surprised parks by making a ghost cake yesterday afternoon. we did a funfetti box cake (two round layers) with cream cheese icing. the ghosts are just tissues tied with twine on wood skewers. super simple – yet a new october 1 tradition for our family i think.

embracing these ages because five and three are pure magic.

i went upstairs to bring up some laundry
nash followed shortly and said,
“i ate that cake down there, momma”
i LOVE age three (so much.)
but he keeps me on my toes for sure!

do you love this time of year, too?
…any plans for the month…
