cozy movies for autumn

it’s cozy (and spooky) season, everybody. autumn is a time for renewal for me… summer can be really harsh here in carolina- so i usually feel alive again once late september arrives. even if the weather outside still slightly disagrees, i have decorated our house a bit. i usually just add pumpkins and gourds throughout, some dried flowers, cinnamon brooms, and of course, candles – pretty simple, but it’s feeling seasonal and very cozy. all of our favorite blankets are always out year round for when the time comes when we need to reach for them. this past weekend was full of family time in our home- a campfire with s’mores and an outdoor movie and time swinging in our hammock and exploring in the woods behind us. we are entering our second fall season here and it just feels so right. we still have lots of projects and dreams … but we have all healed here and i still think daily, i can’t believe we live here. the work and projects are well worth it- it’s become a haven.
