hodge’s family farm and pumpkin patch
– charlotte, north carolina-
we pulled up and mr. monaco mentioned that we had gone from the city of charlotte to my hometown {pure country} in about five minutes. it felt good to be in this atmosphere on a fall afternoon!
there were lots of pretty horses
along with a barn that housed chickens, goats, rabbits, sheep, and pigs
{who were devouring a pumpkin for lunch!}
everyone was so friendly!!
we enjoyed a hayride around the farm, which was fun
i had the spiced orange cidar
two very polite and hard-working boys {around ten} were serving it – so cute! i tipped them and they were so excited and appreciative
the animal barn
the beautiful farmhouse
there was a little kids birthday party going on to the left of this photo- under a tree
complete with a burlap banner and caramel apples- it was precious.
we are excited to make this trip a yearly tradition
and can’t wait to bring baby boy monaco next year!
are we friends on insta? i would love to follow as many bloggers’ feeds as possible
i love the beauty and abundance of photos that you all post regularly ♥
they make my day a little brighter
ps: i just adore our new eucalyptus wreath for willow’s front door
wishing you a wonderful weekend!

any exciting plans?

I love the smell of eucalyptus – great wreath idea! Your green tights are so cute with that outfit, too. I wouldn't have thought to put that together! And bringing pizza to the park is so fun and easy! We've done that before, but associating it with a "fall thing" makes it seem more special haha.. Looks like a lot of fun!

What great ideas! I would love to have an early evening picnic at the park or go to a concert 🙂 Looks like you had an amazing time picking pumpkins! We are laying low this weekend since hubby is away and it is supposed to rain. And yes, I think we're IG buds – @abeautifulrawr 🙂 Have a great weekend, love!

These are great ideas! And beautiful pictures. I love the idea of a pumpkin patch as a date. We'd usually just take this kids, but that's cute.

This is a beautiful depiction of the Hodges Family Farm and their pumpkin shenanigans. I grew up with the Hodges children and it is so wonderful to see how the farm lives on. You will not find a better place for a fall outing, or anytime, and the children you take there will always remember and clamor to go back. You are so photogenic, too! Love your site.

That farmhouse reminds me of Anne of Green Gables' house! I love going to orchards. We didn't have a chance to go this year but we did pick up a few pumpkins at the farmer's market.
