goal setting {november edition}

hi! i am back for another month of goal setting. i am starting to realize {and have been told this for years} that my day is spent filled with countless things to do; one bigΒ hustleΒ andΒ bustle. my best friend {more like a close sister to me} in charlotte has been telling me for years- βnelle, say βnoβ more, you will add seven years to your life!!β {per dr. oz!} so before sweet baby comes, i want to re-prioritizeΒ my life and the things that mean the most to me; the little things that βfire me up!β and make me want to be a better person;Β the things that when i look back on my life, will hopefully feel more whole, more complete. i am always running around like crazy, never feeling rested or fulfilled. this is going to be a challenge for me; however, i know how important it is. i am big believer in the fact that you can βfind timeβ for things that matter and strongly dislike the phrase, βi donβt have time.β {unless you have a home occupied by little kids- then, yes, this is probably the case! or several jobs/a job with long required hours, of course} i just try not to use that excuse, personally. i just believe that you can find time for the things that are important, but thereβs a fine lineβ¦ β₯ Β

so i constantly pack my agenda fullβ¦ but are they the things/way i want to spend my life?Β
especially with a baby/child?Β
here are my lists β wish me luck!Β
what i am saying βyesβ to:
β daily prayer
β a grateful heart {gratitudeΒ list}Β
β phoneless nights/no technology in bedΒ
β pre-natal yoga classesΒ
β healing
β volunteeringΒ
β the unknownΒ
β cultivating and making my relationships deeper {so much more important than social media!}
β quality time with mr. monacoΒ
β preparing for baby boyΒ
β conquering my business goalsΒ
β walksΒ

what i am saying βnoβ to:Β
β negativity
β always agreeing to attend eventsΒ
β being on facebook/instagram when around other people/at night
β irresponsibleΒ spending
β unhealthy food choices- or a better balanceΒ
β worrying about things i can not control
β perfectionismΒ
β being too hard on myselfΒ
β always agreeing to attend eventsΒ
β being on facebook/instagram when around other people/at night
β irresponsibleΒ spending
β unhealthy food choices- or a better balanceΒ
β worrying about things i can not control
β perfectionismΒ
β being too hard on myselfΒ
Β thank you in advance for the prayers and encouragement!Β
β¦i will keep you all posted throughout the month with how everything goesβ¦Β
what about you? do you struggle with saying βyesβ / βnoβ to the wrong things?Β
what would your list look like?Β

come say hi βΒ instagramΒ .Β facebookΒ .Β twitterΒ .Β bloglovin

I like how you organize your goals in terms of saying yes and no. It's important for our well being to say no sometimes!

Loved your goal setting, specially making it in terms of saying no and yes. I'm planning to say yes to more cakes and cupcakes (not matter the hour) and to bake more, and no to the comparison game. Thanks for sharing! | carmelapop.com

All great goals!
I enjoyed the set up of this post.
Such a different approach than most goal posts I've seen.

Those are perfect goals! I love the saying No section especially the instagram and facebook accounts when around others. Too many times I notice myself doing that more and more. Maybe I need to start a "Saying No" section too. Thanks for sharing.
