a grateful heart

my summer break officially starts tomorrow~ yay! we have some dinner dates with friends this week and then we are driving up to philadelphia {where mr. monaco is from} on thursday afternoon. we have some exciting plans for the summer and am excited to blog about our experiences and share our trips, memories, and gatherings with you all.
last weekend we celebrated mr. monaco’s grandma’s 90th birthday with family and friends
we enjoyed some Italian cuisine, drinks, a video, a scrapbook, and i did the decor for the party
i have been blessed and grateful to have been able to meet her and get to know her-
she’s a wonderful lady. i love listening to her stories from the past, her favorite decades {her all-time favorite= 1950’s and least favorite= 1990’s}, her experiences owning a restaurant for many years up in new england. on another note, i can’t get over how much mr. monaco looks just like his grandpa, sam monaco. {and that #photobomb is amazing}
i bought this bouquet from the kings street farmer’s market for the birthday party
$10 for this … and so organic/fresh looking! you tell them your color scheme and they make it quickly right in front of you… adore that place.
it was a weekend of absolutely nothing
and my body needed it.
lots of reading, cleaning, hanging out at home… these days are some of my favorites.
lastly, i love some cute towels for decor in the bathrooms/kitchen… this one is from world market {how amazing is this store?} and was only $3.99!
…what is your heart grateful for this week…
 what are you grateful for this week?

    Looks like a lovely weekend, lady! So fun celebrating grandparents :)! That bouquet is fabulous! I didn't know King Street had a farmer's market. We usually hit up the courthouse one. I am grateful for my family and for warm weather!

    Looks like a great weekend! When I was younger and lived in California we would travel about once a year to Utah to see my grandparents and I absolutely loved looking at their wedding pictures- I still do! Beautiful bouquet! I think that is what my house is missing right now! Happy Monday!

    I love that her least favorite is 1990s – I think many of us share that opinion! haha! And YES to that photo-bomb! Beautiful flowers, Nelle. Hope you're having a great break!!
