goal setting {november edition}

hi! i am back for another month of goal setting. i am starting to realize {and have been told this for years} that my day is spent filled with countless things to do; one big hustle and bustle. my best friend {more like a close sister to me} in charlotte has been telling me for years- 'nelle, say 'no' more, you will add seven years to your life!!' {per dr. oz!} so before sweet baby comes, i want to re-prioritize my life and the things that mean the most to me; the little things that 'fire me up!' and make me want to be a better person; the things that when i look back on my life, will hopefully feel more whole, more complete. i am always running around like crazy, never feeling rested or fulfilled. this is going to be a challenge for me; however, i know how important it is. i am big believer in the fact that you can 'find time' for things that matter and strongly dislike the phrase, 'i don't have time.' {unless you have a home occupied by little kids- then, yes, this is probably the case! or several jobs/a job with long required hours, of course} i just try not to use that excuse, personally. i just believe that you can find time for the things that are important, but there's a fine line... ♥
so i constantly pack my agenda full... but are they the things/way i want to spend my life?
especially with a baby/child?
here are my lists - wish me luck!
what i am saying 'yes' to:
- daily prayer
- a grateful heart {gratitude list}
- phoneless nights/no technology in bed
- pre-natal yoga classes
- healing
- volunteering
- the unknown
- cultivating and making my relationships deeper {so much more important than social media!}
- quality time with mr. monaco
- preparing for baby boy
- conquering my business goals
- walks
what i am saying 'no' to:
- negativity
- always agreeing to attend events
- being on facebook/instagram when around other people/at night
- irresponsible spending
- unhealthy food choices- or a better balance
- worrying about things i can not control
- perfectionism
- being too hard on myself
 thank you in advance for the prayers and encouragement!
...i will keep you all posted throughout the month with how everything goes...
what about you? do you struggle with saying 'yes' / 'no' to the wrong things?
what would your list look like?

  4. Loved your goal setting, specially making it in terms of saying no and yes. I'm planning to say yes to more cakes and cupcakes (not matter the hour) and to bake more, and no to the comparison game. Thanks for sharing! | http://carmelapop.com

  8. All great goals!
    I enjoyed the set up of this post.
    Such a different approach than most goal posts I've seen.

  10. Those are perfect goals! I love the saying No section especially the instagram and facebook accounts when around others. Too many times I notice myself doing that more and more. Maybe I need to start a "Saying No" section too. Thanks for sharing.
