mom and dad visit charlotte & we celebrate~

last weekend, my parents drove down from ohio for a weekend of celebrating! my mom turned 56 on saturday and their 32nd anniversary was on the horizon... they've done this several times (coming to visit for labor day) and it's always wonderful. we did a few new things this time that i recommend ... so i thought i would share the weekend with you! but first a few more 'vintage' as my dad calls them- photos of the lovebirds...
thank you again for all of the sweet messages about the video we made them two years ago for their 30th!
wow- so much love.
you all never seize to amaze me with your kindness

saturday, august 31~

... we started the day with some snuggles and a walk to sunflour bakery company in elizabeth

a yummy french press and a homemade nutella poptart -
and that biscuit up there is a possible favorite of all time.

on saturday, we went on an AmAzInG three hour 'uptown chic behind-the-scenes tour'
it was such a great experience (thank you, dad for organizing!)
i would recommend it to all...

we went to six different restaurants
and were able to go into the kitchens, talk with the chefs, see food demonstrations, and were given a sample of food at each place- and a drink at two of them.
morton's steakhouse
*we saw a crab cake demonstration here - delicious!!
